In 1953 a small fire extinguisher business, Aurora
Fire Protection, opened its doors to Aurora and the
surrounding communities servicing and maintaining
fire extinguishers. In 1977, a retired Aurora Fire
Chief and his son bought Aurora Fire Protection in
hopes of expanding the business. Finally, in 1988
Aurora Fire Protection merged with Tri-State, another
fire protection company, and Aurora Tri-State Fire
Protection was born.
Offering a full line of Fire
Protection, Life Safety, and Security Products
and Services (including design, engineering, sales,
monitoring, inspections, and installation), Aurora
Tri State’s products
include the following: Fire Extinguishers
and Hands On Training, Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Suppression
Systems, Emergency and Exit Lighting, Security and
Access Control Systems, Closed Circuit TV Systems,
Automated External Defibrillators (AED), and Emergency
Evacuation Maps and Plans. We service
the Greater Chicagoland area, Northern Illinois,
Southern Wisconsin, and Northwest Indiana.
The products and services Aurora Tri State provides
are not only OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health
Administration) and NFPA (National Fire Protection
Association) mandated but are also required by local,
state, and federal codes. All fire protective products
and services a building is required to have before
it can be fully occupied and is required to maintain
once it is occupied, Aurora Tri State provides.
Our employees are not only highly trained and knowledgeable
on all NFPA and OSHA codes, but are also licensed
within their departments, take continuing educational
courses, are involved with many of the national and
local fire industry organizations, and have a very
well established relationship with the local authorities
who enforce all the codes and requirements.
